Hainan Medical University is the only public medical university in Hainan Province, located in the beautiful landscape of the tropical coastal city of Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province. The school has formed a joint training of graduate education, general undergraduate education, graduate education, adult education, vocational education, and doctoral academic education in both school structures for about 70 years.

Currently, the total number of students enrolled in the school is more than 14,000, of which 8,925 are full-time students and more than 500 are international students. The undergraduate program offers 26 courses (specializations) in medicine, science, and business administration.
